Meet Raycast, my digital sidekick
For me, it started with an app called Quicksilver. After a while, Apple took that idea and made Spotlight, but Spotlight worked differently.
Then I found Alfred – it did the same thing as Quicksilver but also so much more.
Alfred is great, but my new sidekick is Raycast. Speed is the most significant difference, or at least perceived speed. I don’t have any numbers to go by.
Raycast makes routine tasks quicker. A tool like this is a must for someone who gets a minor panic attack when watching people move around their windows with the mouse and then drag them into misaligned windows on top of each other.
With no further explanation, the plugins I use every day:
- Application launcher
- My Schedule
- Window management (combined with AeroSpace)
- Snippets
- Clipboard History
- Hotkeys
Plugins I use once in a while:
There, use your keyboard.
