Autumn's first real training session

Today was the first day of the almost four month long preparation period before the indoor season in February and March 2005. There are a few changes in since last year. Due to the fact that Peter is going to live in China for a year (and will be moving when we approach the new year) and the fact that Annika has been offered to “climb the ladder” at work (and do not have enough hours to be able to help me out fulltime) I have decided to start training with a new coach. The coach is Anders Palmqvist, a.k.a. Palmas, here in Göteborg.

Even if this was something quite unexpected, it seems to work out really well. Peter is still going to be around during the autumn and for the first time in several years I’ll be able to train with guys that are at the same level. Palmas is a great coach, so I got high hopes for the seasons to come…

It feels great to be “on the road again” and I’m motivated to train harder than ever now that I have a good season behind me and some wind in my sails for the first time in years. There’s potential for quite a lot of improvements. I guess that it will be hard to get out of bed tomorrow, but that’s sort of a nice feeling too, because the ace you have the first month every fall is something that you won’t feel very often the rest of the year…
